Q: I am trying to checkout but my address is not bringing up any delivery options for my order.
A: Is your delivery address within the Palmerston North - Wellington area? If so, is it quite a remote location? If so, we may not deliver to your area. Please email us to check whether we deliver to your address.
A: Is the cake you are trying to order one that we have marked as not suitable for courier? Our Unicorn Cakes and Two Tier Event Cakes are some examples of cakes that aren't suitable for courier, or only suitable for delivery within the Kāpiti area, due to them being more fragile or perishable.
Q: I want my cake delivered at a specific time of day. Why can't I specify this?
A: All of our cakes travel by an independent local courier, other wise we would spend all day driving around delivering them instead of making you more delicious treats :D Because our awesome local courier has a varying schedule each day, we don't always know what time they will be in your area. We have no control over the delivery time. If you order for delivery, you do so on the understanding that it will arrive sometime between 9am and 5pm. If this doesn't suit, it may work better for you pick your cake up in store.
Q: Can I track my order?
A: No. Because we use an independent local courier company, their system is not automated to send a notification when the cake is delivered. When you place your order you will receive an email with a tax invoice/receipt, and you will receive another email to say that your order is processing. This means we have put your order into our production planning and you can rest assured that your order will be delivered on the day you have chosen. Unfortunately we cannot carry out specific requests such as calling the customer ten minutes before delivery etc.
Q: What happens if my cake is damaged in transit, or someone takes it from my doorstep because I wasn't home to receive it?
A: We very rarely, if at all, have any trouble with damage to cakes, which is why we have used the same independent local courier company for years, however all cakes and baking do travel at the customers risk.
Q: I want a different cake than you have on your website. Can I tell you what I want, or ask you to change colours, toppings etc for one of the cakes you have listed?
A: Unfortunately, No. We have a set range, and all of the colour, flavour, size colour etc choices that we offer are already in the product options.
Q: Do you provide a wedding cake service with cake tasting and custom orders?
A: No we don't but we do have several options in our set cake range that are often ordered for weddings, with the customer adding flowers themselves. We do have wedding toppers in our cake topper range. We sell little mini cakes in our Eatery daily if you would like to buy some to sample our cake flavours.
Q: How far ahead of time can I make my order?
A: We take orders as far as 3 months in advance.
Q: Do you do buffet meals, offer serving staff, and hire equipment?
A: No. We specialise in plattered, ready to serve, finger food. We don't offer serving staff or organise the hire of serving items or equipment. There are some great companies in Kāpiti that will be able to assist you with this.
